I have a large Vantage Pro due in tomorrow. I am about as excited for this knife as I have been for any before. The thing is I'm not sure why. I have better knives for EDC. I have better dress knives for a night on the town. I have tougher knives for the zombie invasion. I have knives that look much nicer and knives that have nicer materials. I am not real sure why I even ordered it but as the time slowly passes I have a feeling like I just won the jackpot. What do you folks think of the Vantage Pro?

BUCK VANTAGE PRO ROCKS.

USA Made, Paul Bos S30V, great ergos, blade geo to me is a sebbie with a thumbhole, and all around great value. The only, and the only ding I have for it is that the flipper should be a bit bigger. That being said, I honestly believe this is the best EDC for around $50-$60.

I'm always excited to get a new knife even if it's a cheap one. By the way I just got a new Vantage a couple days ago and I really really like it. Cutting performance is great. Very comfortable in the hand.

The Vantage design is great, and the Pro is a fantastic deal for the materials you're getting. The only other knife I can think of that offers S30v in a similar price range is the Spyderco Native, and while I like that knife as well, I prefer the materials and design of the Vantage over the Native.

To address the OP's point about there being better knives out there, I admit I will agree that there are better knives for dress use, hard use, etc than the Vantage. But the strength of the Vantage line lies in its design and high value. I think the fact that Buck has expanded the Vantage lineup so much with its Vantage Force series speaks to the popularity of the Vantage pattern.

The Vantage line is an extraordinary value.

The Vantage is the knife I carry most often because it seats deep and slips in an out easily. My Kershaws are fun and interesting knives, but I have to wrestle with them to get them in and out of my pockets, the G10s anyway.

I think it's all of the positive comments I have read about this knife that has me pumped. Outside of the occasional blade alignment I haven't heard anything negative. Can't wait.

Well she came in today and I am impressed. Very nice size and balance in the hand. Blade was perfectly centered and the scales are properly fit. Opens with a slight flick and locks up tight. I actually like it more than I thought I would. It will be fun to get some time with her in the pocket but I certainly don't anticipate any letdowns. I do anticipate a Vantage Force Pro in the near future. Buck Rocks !

I've had mine for about 2 years. Still performing great. Considering a pimp job though, maybe kyrptoglow scales.

I love the new knife but I imagine they would throw me out of the mountains if I put kyrptoglow scales on any knife. Maybe I can pimp one out for when I go to Denver. LOL
