Vantage Pro opening - polish or lube?

When I got my Vantage Pro, it opened nice and smooth and I was thrilled with it. As it got dirty, it got rough, so I took it apart to clean it up and re-lube it. However, the lube I used just doesn't seem to last for more than a day or two. I polished and lubed the copper washers and lubed the ball. Now, flipping is impossible and when I open it with my thumb, I can hear the ball rubbing metal on metal. Is there a good lube to use or something else I can polish to return the knife to it's former glory? It's frustrating to have a flipper that only opens 75 degrees with a forceful flip or all the way with an aggressive flip + wrist action.

I disassembled it again and the oil in that area is actually good. It seems it's the stud that tracks in the liner slot that's doing all the grinding. I'll polish and oil that area and see what happens.

Hoppes smells too bad, no way I'm carrying that around in my pocket all day!

The oil doesnt smell at all, its the solvent thats a real nose bender. I only use that on non-disassemblable(if thats a word?) folders like a 110 if I get fat and guts in the pivot from gutting something and it wont clean up to restore snap with hot water and soap.
