Hi,
I bought a 1640 Vapor from Walmart a couple of months back, I liked it but the thing I don't like is the country of origin, which is China. Is there a Vapor knife that is being manufacured in the USA. I asked this because I'm planning on giving knives this Christmas to my friends and relatives and I don't want to give them China made stuff.

If you have the money, may I suggest the Needs Work or Skyline for US made options? Just a little more money, but a major step upward in terms of quality.

I didn't have a problem with the quality of the Chinese-made Vapor I had. I only returned it to...

...well, to buy an American-made knife. I suppose I see where you are coming from, here.

How about the "Storm" series? They are American made and not much higher in price than the Vapor's.,,,VWB.

I agree on the Storms, I' ve been carrying my Storm II for about a week now, great quality and alot better than my Vapor.

However the Storms are rather large and heavy, maybe the Skyline would be a better choice? Or the Needs Work, like Gauge7 said.

Get the "Storm" instead of the "Storm II". The small "Storm" is no bigger or heavier than the large Vapor.,,,VWB.
