Vapor too tight... what's the fix?

I got a new Vapor and it is so tight that there is NO way to flick it open. I'm sure it will loosen some, with use, but I doubt it will ever get to the point of being able to flick it open. Maybe I'm wrong.

Is there a fix for this? Loosening the pivot makes for slop in the blade. The plastic washers are pretty thin so I don't know if anything can be done there either. Has anyone had any luck with this?

Are you sure it is the pivot that is too tight and not the detent?

My Vapor is fairly loose once open, but the ball baring and detent requires a lot of force to overcome.

I don't know how to "fix" this, though I wouldn't want to since I have no interest in flicking. Perhaps some lube on the ball baring would help?

I didn't say the pivot was too tight, I just said that loosening the pivot was not a solution. I believe the problem is that the "arm" of the frame lock is... I don't know how to say it but "overly sprung" and it is applying a lot of pressure on the detent, as you said.

Now, after saying this, I realize that there is probably no fix because I would not want to mess with the spring of the arm because the lock could fail. I didn't think this through before posting. Sorry.

Thanks for bringing clarity to my mind, Hair.
