I have seen some wicked variants on several models but have never actually bought and used them. And I have really been tempted lately. But if I buy one it will be a user and not a safe queen. Have any of you used any of the variants with "teeth" on the blade? Not on the back but on the cutting edge. I have seen some variants with their teeth near the choil while others have them at the tip or last inch or two. So if you have used these how have they performed? Pros and Cons? Thanks guys. :)

Not a large Custom Shop job, but I have used my SMOG SE warden a bunch around the house. I like the serrations a lot and it has become my go-to EDC at this point. Small and very functional. Slicing and cutting plantings with the normal part of the blade, and ripping twine/string/vines with ease on the serrations...

I have a Jungle M6 w/ serrations that will get used later this month on a camping trip. I'll post pics and report after the trip...

I can't help you here as I only have a SHSHV with a toothy top swedge. If I had to chose I would pick the serrations up front by the tip. I tend to use the last 2 inches of the blade near the handle quite a bit to whittle wood etc... Serrations there would just complicate things. However, it is probably advantageous to have it there if you tend to cut a lot of thick rope. Also, serrations up front would make for a seriously mean fighter that can slash, hack, and rip!

I didn't think there were too many variant users simply because of their prices. Still, I am tempted and thus may have to make a variant a user. ;) Thanks.
