I did a variation of the OxiClean titanium treatment on a ZT 0561 and got a cool but unexpected result. (Plenty of previous posts on OxiClean and titanium modifications if you do a search).

Being too cheap to buy a box of the OxiClean powder for $12, I grabbed a bottle of their liquid laundry spot spray for giggles. I wanted to darken the titanium scale a bit and left it in the liquid (no dilution) for 12 hours. After 12 hrs it was slightly darker from original but still not the grey I wanted so I boiled two cups of water and did a 50/50 solution and left it overnight. What I got was this crazy deep deep bronze color with a hint of purplish haze. It's an amazing color that I wasn't expecting to get from oxidizing. I should have paid closer attention to the exact soak times so your results may vary but it wasn't a fast change and could be monitored without too much risk of overdoing it. one word of caution when doing this is to dry the titanium scale to evaluate the color. It appears very different when wet.
