Variations in BM42

I was inspecting my BM42 closely today because I can't get the wobble out of my handles. I noticed that on the handle that wobbles the worst, the torx screw sticks up above the handle about 1/27th of an inch and the smooth side of the pin is below the surface of the handle an equal amount. I've attempted to tighten the pins but it didn't help with the wobble. With just an 8th of a turn on the screw, the handles are too tight.

Also, I noticed today that the annodizing on my 42AS is a lot lighter than any of the pictures I've seen. Most pictures I've seen have a rich blue/purple color and mine is almost light blue/violet. Is this normal?

I don't know what to tell you on the top statement about the 42, there is almost no wobble in mine, and just out of curiosity, where did the 1/27 come in, just not a fraction I'm used to seeing. If you want to get that taken care of, just drop an email or a phone call to Angie at Benchmade, she is really great to work with and will get it fixed as quickly as possible.

I think that due to the multicolor anodization of the 42A and 42AS that there will be some variation of the coloring, I kinda like it as it makes each knife a bit more unique, but that is just me.
