If your sick of kwaikens or Japanese inspired pieces, you probably should move along.

I have been doing a ton of these style blades lately, here are a few variations.

XL Oregonto. This one is double ground and at .275" thick it is a serious battle blade. The Hartsfield style sheath is wrapped in Bison leather.

Chisel ground compact Oregonto with Old school cotton under wrap and turks knot. This one has 3.75" blade. Gorgeous mahogany bison on the sheath.

One more with a 4" blade and burgandy stingray.

I call this one "chunkidashi" :D

I've been looking at these photos for awhile today - just not sure what to say or how to say it..... Sort of like the excitement I would feel as a child when heading for what's under the Christmas tree on Christmas morning. Amazing, Ben. Mike

The resurgence of the Hartsfield style knives and his sheaths around here has been nothing short of amazing.
Very nice work, Ben, as always.

Couldn't agree more. Ben, you're doing great work, love seeing your different takes on the style.

When we started talking about these style blades I never thought they would see this type of popularity

Those of us old PH fans new the versitility of this style package

I don't care what anyone says ..... These knives thrive in this style sheath and Kydex does not come close

Ben embraced it

Ran with it

And conquered it :)

You guys are far too kind. I really am enjoying doing these. Hopefully I can make myself one soon. :)

Thanks for the push Joe. ;)

Cut test and stab test. Stab test was two layers of denim, a piece of 12oz leather and a pile of rags. It buried in the hardwood board under the stack.

Sweet knives.

Always love these, and I am happy to see you making such great versions!

Never been too fond of chisel grinds, but I can't put words to the work in any of those three blades. Just awesome knives. Thanks for sparking my appreciation.

Gotta say, that cotton wrapped compact Oregonto deceived me at first! Looked much smaller than it is. Great size, nonetheless.
