Various Spyderco Reviews

I often check that site before buying non-knife gear and had also noticed the Delica reviews before. I hadn't seen the Salt reviews though. Thanks for the link. It's interesting to get a perspective from people who aren't knife hobbyists and collectors.

One of the reviews of the Salt 1: "So far, it resists rusting." Well, duh! Even after months of using it outdoors, it didn't rust. He only cleaned it once (by putting it in the dishwasher opened, someone slap this guy!).
Also, he couldn't really sharpen the serrations with the equipment he had. After a few months of use, he noticed a slight dulling of the teeth...

NKP's:rolleyes:

Yes, there are some naive and uninformed comments from the reviewers. But I bet they actually used their knife more in a few months than some folks here do in years. How many reviews have you seen on knife forums, where someone opens the box containing their new knife, then starts a thread saying "Wow, it locks up like a bank vault, and the edge was real sharp. Another great knife, Spyderco!" Then their knife sits in a drawer, or is carried but never really used, until the person moves on to the next new model. Some of us use our knives everyday, but some don't. It's useful to get perspectives from a variety of people.

Man, this is the truth. That's one reason why I try to limit my purchases. I don't want to own more than I use.

Yeah - right - not owning more than what you use...:D :D

No disrepect intended; it just brought a smile to my face to see such an admirable statement made...
