I had bought a load of kit knife parts n pieces a ways back, from Germany. This hidden tang, half tang is one blade of 3 I bought. My first attempt. I epoxied it on to the Sambar tip with Devcon 2 ton full cure. Sitting on my desk,un sharpened,a letter opener I never use. But I'd pick it up occassionally & yank on the blade to see if I could get some kindof movement/failure out of it & its on there pretty good.

Recently I got some knives back with sheaths made & wound up with this spare of heavy leather. This morning I tried it & guess what,it fits the knife like a glove,no belt loop.

So the knife needs to be sharpened & perhaps you would like to attempt to drill through it for a lanyard hole >? It is German 440C,blade was etched & I hand buffed most the etch off.

I would not use this as a pry bar but I think it'd serve someone as a nice small knife

Post up some cool pics & enter if you'd like. Somehow I'll figure a winner, next Sunday sound good ?

Thank You All for everything, all ways,-Vince

That's something special sir, please count me in

I just snapped this pic after I finished sharpening these new old knives, just as I'd put them down.

With the Doctor's Knife, this is my EDC today

And of course, everyone needs a moral compass ;)

So far Jack Black not much competition. Maybe wrap it up ?

I am old and feebleminded, cool pics of what? Anything in particular, knife related only?

That little "letter opener" you made really appeals to me and I'd love to have a chance at it.

No pics is fine I just rambled that 'cause I like you guyz' pics in this forum. We could just talk, too, about like say,it is not as easy as you'd think to drill a hole with a solid straight drill bit, into a crooked antler, that has a limited diameter, while still oversizing the hole enough for a liberal epoxy set. At the same time, don't pop through ,and do not make the front too open so the intergal ferrule on the blade blank can't cover it.

You could talk about how one's $20. Sodbuster pivot developed wiggle, too. That's always a good topic :o

My little man this past 4ht of July.

Notice his Alan Davis "knife that stays open all the time" on his "belt".

There, all bases covered!

Thanks for the chance!

Now that's a great picture right there! Is that a squidward T shirt ?

Hey Vince, great looking knife you have there. Much too pretty for a letter opener. I have just recently acquired an appetite for straight blade knives. I have a couple of them in my meager collection, but nothing as fine as this knife. Most of my collection is traditional folders. My wife bought me a straight blade at a garage sale about a year ago that was an etched "collector knife". Pretty little knife, but is a "China special" made to look at and not use in my opinion, but don't tell my wife I said that. I would love to add your knife to my collection. Count me in.

Blessings,

Omar

Six guys I think,is it really that bad ?,lol

I'm in please. If its anything close to your paring knives it's a winner. Looks cool with the sambar tip too!

Nice jagdnicker. I'm in, thanks for the chance, and good luck to all.
Early Snow on Late Leaves, with Raspberries (the knife content was in my pockets).
