I got a MT Vector today. Bought it on ebay for just under $100 shipped. In like new condition. Well, not quite like new, but after cleanning of some very minor rust with a tooth pick, touching up the tip ever so slightly, and givin it a good dowsing of mil tech, it's pretty darn close.
Would have to say that it appears to be a very good knife, as I expected. It's on the smaller side, but I knew it was. The blade (and handle) are much thicker that on my mini socom, and that's a pleasent surprise. Rubber inserts always seem to worry me a little, but these seem to be held nicely in place. The blade is a very cool shape (nightmarish) and it doesn't seem like it would be too hard to sharpen with a sharpmaker. The lock snaps in place with a reasuring authority, and the clip, although tip down seems to be well made. The handle has plenty of gripping serrations, which I appreciate. However, I would have to say that if my avg. hands were any larger the knife my not be quite comfortable. As is, seems fine. All in all, my only complaint is that it's not black. But even though I've only been playin with it for a few hours, I would have to say it's a great knife that I would recommend.

I'm really fond of the Vectors, definitely one of my favorite MT's. Even in Az where autos are legal to carry I prefered the manual Vector which I could "flick" open just using the thumbstud as fast as the auto, if not a little faster.

...nice to hear someone speak positively about the Vectors. I've always been a big fan. A lot of people hate the looks--couldn't disagree more, but then I love the Benchmade Gravitator too. I can understand hating the Vector if you have BIG hands--probably wouldn't work out too well. For my medium-sized hands, the Vector feels like it was made for me. Love 'em. Here are a couple quick (crappy) shots of my little Vector collection ...Abalone, Winewood, and Stingray Skin.

How does the handle size compare to either the Mini-grip, the leek, or the kershaw VaporII ? (only three decent knives I own).

I have rather large hands (4" across the palm), but all three of the above are comfortable for most tasks...
