New folder design from Matt Martin at Vehement Knives, midtech manufactured by Medford Knife and Tool.

Never had a Medford-manufactured knife before, very surprised to see how slim and light this one is in the hand. CPM3V blades, titanium handles with faux bolsters that are brushed finish vs. the blasted and/or anodized 'scale.' Great flipping action. Actually better than my Koenig Arius or my Hinderers. Bit of a light detent, but responds to both push-button and light-switch opening, and flips reliably and solidly. Would be nice if it had a lockbar insert, though. Very much reminds me of an all-titanium flipper version of a Buck 110 or 112.

Picked one up as well and I’m definitely enjoying it. Sentiments mirror yours to the tee. For me, the lockstick is annoying but not a deal breaker by any means.

Picked up a black one. Impressively light and thin. Spot on fit and finish as well. I liked the different finished bolsters but couldn't pass up the black and brass.

I think I actually like just smidge of lock stick so you know it's engaged.

I was on the fence and ultimately passed. I would have liked to have seen it a bit bigger. My thought was it would be very well done but I would find myself selling it down the road, so I couldn't justify the price to simply "check it out".

They really were. And frankly worth the cost of admission if they check your boxes. Perhaps He'll make an XL run based off the success of this drop.
