Vehicle knife...

What do you keep in your vehicle? I keep a BK&T Campanion in a bag in my trunk that also contains many other survival items. Is it legal to carry a fixed blade as long as it stays in your trunk? I also have a Gerber multi-tool in my arm rest and a Cold Steel shovel behind my seat. I always have a folder clipped to my pocket, (Microtech LCC).

Both of my vehicles (Ford F150 and a Honda atv) have a 12" blade Ontario / Blackie Collins machete, a glock field spade, a KaBar, and a SAK Soldier. I live in a depressed area where vehicle breakins happen routinely, so I don't keep anything more expensive in there. As long as your "stuff" is out of reach in the trunk, you're pretty safe legally, in most jurisdictions. Problems can arise when they are "within reach" inside the passenger compartment.
