Embedded photojournalist Ashley Gilbertson ate a lot of them. He found rations differed from army to army. So he took some pictures.

Interesting.

Doesn't look like that much food when they dump each packet/can out on the table.

Looks like MRE's are just another opponent our guys have to vanquish.

Interesting, most of those meals look less than appetizing. I also don't believe those are the full portions, just a sample to show you everything?
