I just changed my ISP to Verizon, and I came here to update my email address. Unfortunately I was greeted with: "Verizon.net will not work!!!!!"

What is the reason for this, and what address will work? Is a free email account acceptable? I tried to find the answer in the FAQ as directed, but I was unable to.
 
Ditto on Gmail, but after changing, be sure and watch your spam folder for Bladeforums activation emails and notifications thereafter. Sometimes, they are aggressive on filtering out spam.
