Its been a month since his scheduled surgery, and I was wondering if anyone had any info on his condition. Did a quick search but didn't find anything. Anyone?

Vern was unable to have the surgery because it was found that the cancer had invaded his liver. Unless God intervenes in a miraculous way, Vern has only a short time to live. He did undergo chemotherapy on Friday, May 2 and I suspect I have not heard from him this week just because of the after affects of the chemo. His doctor told him it would make him very ill, but it was the only way to extend his life a bit longer.
As all of you have gathered from his posts, Vern has complete faith that God is using this for His good pleasure and to bring about what is in His perfect will. Every time I speak to Vern or read an email from him, I am amazed at his incredible testimony of faith in his Heavenly Father.
It is Vern's wish that as many people as possible will become believers in Jesus Christ as a result of Vern's faithfulness during these tough days.
For all of you who know Jesus Christ as your personal savior and who believe in prayer, please continue to pray that Vern and Pam will increasingly feel God's love and experience His grace in their lives.

Reading this bring a tears to me even though I
never met Vern. My trouble's pale compared to Vern's illness.
My hope is that in the end Vern find God's promised peace.

My family will pray for peace for Vern's family.:(

I am saddened to hear of your illness. I remember your kindness, helpfulness, enthusiasm and generosity when you helped me become an early member of the Buck Collector Club. Your faith in God showed then as I'm sure it still does.

I will remember you in my prayers.

May our loving Heavenly Father bless and give you strength, may His righteousness be upon thee and cause His face to shine upon thee.....Dan L. #111

I too was wondering about Vern. Thanks for the update. We do not always know or understand all of what God is doing and why some things are allowed to happen but it is certain that God loves His children and will truly honor their faith. May Vern, his wife and all their family know the "peace of God which surpasses all human understanding" (Phil. 4:7).

There has been so much "good" said about Vern alraedy in this and other threads, that to add my thoughts would only be redundant. I will say though that Vern, his immediate family, and his extended cirlce of BUCK family and friends are in my prayers. May God bless him and hold him close in his time of need.
