By my calender, I think today marks 3 years since the passing of Vern Taylor isn't it.

Hard to believe it's been that long since we lost such a great source of info' on Buck Knives.

R.I.P. Vern.
 
I miss him...:(
The amount of information he had in his head was incredible! I miss hearing his stories about way back when...
 
I can remember calling him once to get info' on my Buck 311 Trapper with the "Winchester" shield, a SFO from the early 80's.

He could give me everything, including the name of the Winchester sales rep. that commissioned them, all off the top of his head without having to consult any reference books.

He probably forgot more about Buck knives than I will ever fit in my skull!
