On a trip down to New Orleans and was looking for a better way to carry (I have a Recluse pocket holster which is nice, but not practical). Been using this VersaCarry 3in./9mm for my Sig P938 at the 4:30 position. Been wearing it in the car non stop as well as into convenience stations and hotels. So far, no discomfort at all, even sitting. Very quick/smooth draw. No bulge (wearing flannel unbuttoned).

Yep, mother in law's house...mine's full of knives, guns, beer and other manly stuff...

Considering Condition 1. Carry, but was wondering if anyone has thoughts with this set up.

Good for concealment. But how does it hold up when it gets warm out and you start sweating? Nothing between you and the gun right? I mean unless you wear it over a shirt, which defeats the purpose. Just curios. Thanks for posting the photos.

I had the same concern with regards to sweat. In the past 2 days I have been wearing an A shirt underneath my shirt which shields your gun from your skin/sweat. I'm not sure about chambering a round, although people I have talked to say that they do it safely. All in all, so far, a great holster for $25.

Definitely a different approach to a holster. I do like that you can use it with laser/lights. The only thing that worries me is the exposed part. It gets really hot in the summer where I live. Sweat would really be an issue. Thanks again for taking the time to post this.

Day 3, different shirt, warmer here in New Orleans. I'm impressed with the lack of imprint.

Seen them, got to handle one, basically high tech Mexican carry. The fact it doesn't cover the trigger is a dealbreaker to me though, kinds like the clipdraw kits, the shield between the pistol and pants is better than nothing, but not enough IMO. I'll stick with my Little Foxx for a small holster, thin, and very comfortable with good retention, and far less of a chance to Plaxico yourself.

The retention is very good (I shook the set up/gun upside down to test, with no slippage). I'll see if I can post a video. I wear pants that fit, within an inch, straight leg fit. In these pants, very comfortable. I think the belt you choose will dictate how stable the set up is. I'm using a stiff/wide belt, and there is no movement no matter what I do (run/jump etc.). With regard to trigger coverage, the trigger is covered on the side where your trigger finger will grasp. Unless your thumb was to grasp the trigger , there should be no issues.

I put up a video of retention testing/stability with shaking upside down.

Pretty good retention/stability with shaking, with about a 0.5cm or less of movement on the rod. This is without the stability of having another surface (the body), against the side of the gun. I am confident that the gun will not come out when being worn.

More testing while going out in different clothes. No coat or flannel needed due to lack of imprint. Again, wearing an A shirt underneath my T shirt.

Here's a video showing the ease of draw with this IWB holster and my Sig P938

Carrying a gun in any condition and in any holster will always have an element of risk. Regardless of holster style, it is the risk that we always must be mindful of. The higher the potential for risk, the more aware we must be. I would think that not having a trigger guard would add at least a little risk.

It all comes down to personal decisions in the end. I certainly would not try to convince you either way.

FYI- I use a NSR C-4 holster (it has a trigger guard).
