anyone have some official buras from the early years? did he ever use the horizontal crescent? or was it all vertical-- especially from early period kothimoda since we know he did those specifically

huzzah another kami forgemark thread -- just curious to date the change of his marks, did it coincide with the english initials or was it interchangeable his whole run, or can we expect vertical crescents to date bura early period.


also what is the difference between kumar six pointed star and raj kumar 2 mountains ? same man two periods or different people?

Kumar and Rajkumar are two different men.

Buras earlier work used a small cresent moom while his later work is a much larger (and I think better looking) moon. This might be because he had a stroke and the larger moon was easier to make or a helper was marking the blades for him.

There is also an even earlier mark for Kumar, a star flanked by two arrows.
