Vertical Blade play

So my LE Mini barrage has vertical blade play. I've noticed this issue when playing with new benchmades that are coated or anodized etc, however this is getting beyond ridiculous. I've been opening/closing hundreds of times it simply isn't going away. Only way to get it to lock up solid is to push the axis barrel upwards.

Benchmade hasnt responded to my email. Kind of disappointed in this. Ima try to send it out anyways and hope it gets repaired and NOT resharpened. (no matter how many times I sent in a benchmade they resharpen, ima try the tape on the edge.
 
When did you email them? Bladeshow is the Super Bowl of the knife world and they are going to be heading there, getting all kinds of things ready in the previous months. That could be why they have not responded. I emailed them too, via the Benchmade site, last Thursday and have not head a peep.
As far as the lock rock, I have it on a few coated blades as well. It's rather annoying. The only way I would think it can be fixed is by not coating those surfaces and leaving them bare.
 
Forget e-mail. Call them directly. They always answer the phone.

I think you are going to have to send it in. When I sent in my original AFCK and Sentinel I didn't want the blades sharpened either. I wrote that on the warranty & repair form you fill out that's on their site that you send in with the knife.

I also enclosed a note with written instructions of what I wanted done and NOT to sharpen the blade.

Didn't have any problems.

Call them they don't seem to answer emails, I'm not even sure why they list it just makes people upset when they never hear back.
