Vertical blade play

Just bought a new Kershaw Emerson CQC6. Action was very gritty so I took it apart and cleaned and lubed. Action is much smoother, but now I have a small amount of vertical blade play. If I push in on lock bar while deployed the blade play disappears.
Any suggestions to correct issue would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I have two. One is to exchange it as it is new. The other is going to be messing with the lockbar. This is easy to mess up if your not carfull. Take apart and bend lock bar in just a bit. This is going to affect your smoothness though. The lock bar adds pressure to the blade when it is opening and closing.

Unfortunately i think exchanging is out of the question if you have disassembled it. I have heard great things about kershaws warranty department. I would give them a shout and see if they can help you.

I am thinking it is just an adjustment issue because there was no vertical play before I took apart and cleaned.

Loosen the frame screws and pivot. Pull the blade out 90 degrees to the handle. Tighten the pivot screw so blade can't move. Then snug the frame screws. Alternate tightening the frame screws. Then adjust the pivot screw. It may be that the handle is just a hair out of line.
Also if sending it in it may take a while to get back. It's the holiday season and their warehouse sale just finished a couple days ago.

That did the trick! Everything is nice and smooth and lock up is solid at around 40%.
Thank you so much for the advice.
