This is a new sheath option I'm offering. It allows you to carry a fixed blade vertically or horizonally. This is about the largest overall that would work. Anything larger would be uncomfortable. So an 8" overall max. knife would be it. The sheath could actually be made a bit shorter with more handle exposed so it wouldn't take as much room on your belt. This first pic is the sheath riding on my hip, the next is the back of the sheath showing the belt loop. Thanks for looking.

That looks like a great sheath! The one conern I have is that the horizontal belt loop looks very long; I can imagine that the sheath would have a tendency to wrap around your waist when the knife wasn't in it and be a tad uncomfortable when the knife was in. Your thoughts? Is that why the length is limiting?

Andrew this whole package was a test project. I've always liked the option of horizonal sheath carry for any knife, folder or in this case small fixed blade. Yes as you said the belt loop is a tad to long and would work better if shortened. The overall sheath could also be shortened a slight amount and have more handle exposed but really isn't a big issue. Your belt loops on you pants act as a stop. They keep the sheath from sliding on your belt. When the knife is in the sheath it tightens the whole package against your body. The belt loop on the sheath should be shortened to accomadate closely spaced belt loops on your pants. The problem with any horizonal sheath is the fact that your torso is round, but does have some flat areas especially between your front and back pockets. That's the best place to have the sheath ride on your hip. Hope that makes sense.
