I know, this is not a good way to jump into a forum as a newb but you guys really suck... All this talk of INFI -- and the hundreds of pictures of incredible blades -- and the stories... then the build of excitement for the ASH-1 on the site.... so i started reading and learning more. (Why are Busses so pricey and coveted... what am i missing out on??) And then the "i want" starts creeping in. Soon I was not only drinking the Kool-Aid but I'm eating it right out of the packet. Suffice it to say, after months of lurking - I made my first Busse purchase (correction --- placed my order and hope i see a charge before long). Now I gotta sit and wait and go crazy for my ASH-1 like the rest of you lucky people. :o

While i wait, I need help convincing me to make it a user and enjoy it. (I got the DC with mag black canvas micarta ---so i think that qualifies as a user...ugh, maybe i shoulda gotten two).

Anyway - I hold you all accountable but can't wait to be able to have first hand experience on owning some INFI. This is a great site to find info and a good place to surround myself with a lot of "enablers" while i wait for mine.

(Oh, and if you can help me with explanations to my wife? - the more creative, the better:))

Welcome to the madness, try to keep your wits, and a word of advise for the wifey. Don't tell her, sneak the knives into the house, incredibly exciting for a long time married man.:D

There is no use trying to "wait" for your Busse. Face it. You CANNOT wait. Go ahead over to the exchange and find yourself some instant gratification.
I know that by the time my first "ordered Busse" got to me, I had many several Busse's at my house already.
So don't listen to the rest of these guys. Just give in and do it. You won't regret it because there are "NO REGRETS" allowed. ;) :D:foot:
 
Welcome. And good choice on the ASH1 DC with black mags. I ordered one of those to go with my LE.
 
For the wife: Infi has historically had a much higher return on investment than other precious metals, like gold or silver. You can use them for art. If zombies attack or you should find yourself out camping, can be used there to. Should you need to exfiltrate from a car in an accident, useful there too. In the kitchen it will slice, dice and chop! It could be used as a can opener too.

Busse's: rescue tool, retirement vehicle, cutting tool, artwork and anything else you can think of, all in one!

Dang -- you're on to me. I've already started down that path... maybe just a small blade to hold me over.... no more than 6"... ok, maybe 10"... dang

Welcome SplittinHairs, you've found the best place to feed you fix and you won't find a better group.

As for the wife, having INFI shipped to your work aids in her not seeing the box at the door, as well as burning vacation time on expected delivery days if former is not a option. Money orders leave little trail and Gus at the garage only excepts cash.;)

Hah, that's too funny. I did the exact same thing (went with black on black). Searching threads wondering about this Busse thing, searching the Busse forum, watching failed attempts to break it's cousin blade on knifetests and figured what the hell, the timings good - no long wait for a new blade, let's throw down for one!
 
Welcome aboard and don't lament only ordering the one, they are still for sale and the more you think of it, you'll order another. I predict you put in an order for at least two more before all is said and done. :D
 
Welcome!! This is a great bunch! Oh, and no matter what you think, the first Busse you order WILL NOT be the first Busse you own. Happened to me on the BATACs. Ordered an LE and 2 CGs...

1 week later I had a Hell Razor, CG FBM and GW on their way to me. ;)
