There is something very special about the old Buck 110 Versions 1 through 3 for me and I just love these great old warriors. 14 Variations in those few years of making few knives. I haven't see a Version 1 yet but I hope to see one. I would love to hear from others that have the same feeling a draw for these great knives?

In the 80s and into the early 90s I carried a Buck 110 that was purchased in 1981. A man gave it to me for doing his yard and cutting two trees down. I was in the Forest Service and that was the knife to have. I couldn't afford to buy one but got lucky when I worked for that man. I carried it until 1995 when I started carrying a Randall Made Knife.

I still carry the 110 at times around my farm. Great classic knife.

Here are two 1st/1st Buck 110's I have. The single one at top is also in the photo with it's brother in the second picture. I would have to dig for the rest of my older Buck 110's.
I agree though….just something about them. The feel, the history. I like the old ones too. :)

Here are a few more because I love the old Buck 110's so much….

Photobucket made it hard to keep these in order.

This top one is a 3rd/1st.

This one is a 2nd/1st.

I believe this is the 2nd/2nd.

This is another 2nd/1st.

2TONYB and Stumps, my friend. Especially the V 1 and V 2 knives are so very special and both of yours are in really great shape. I am so glad I got to see your knives. they make me willing to search forever to hold knives like yours. Thanks, both of you, for sharing your very special knives. I am hoping that other will share too.

What really interests me is the experimentation, trial and error, that went on from the first 110 through the Two Dots. Here are a couple of the early knives: a 1st Version Variation 1 and a 2nd Version, Variation 2.

I dont have my older 110s pictured in groups, gotta get to that. I agree, love the oldies.

Found a pic of a 3rd 6ths with relative ease

no 1st or 2nds in the accumulation yet:(

Yes, the hard fiber spacer is particularly interesting to me. I like the single pin in the rear bolster as well.

The Buck 110 started my real search for Buck knives in general. I have never seen a first or second in person. The oldest I have and have seen in person is a Third Version Variation 2. Hope springs eternal, I may find one yet. The idea of a first or second is fantastic much less still in the box. Nice display guys.

Rich and Mark,

Good stuff gentlemen. I agree 100% there is just something about those old 110's that are awesome. As a young guy that collects buck 110's I have learned a lot from you guys and appreciate you teaching me.

Really nice old warriors pictured here. Thanks for showing your great knives. Since Buck changed Variations so often in the early days, it would be interesting to know how many of these were actually made, and so many fewer that are still here and in great shape like yours. If I can figure out how to do it, I will post a couple of mine.
