Very Few V'nox's With PH Screwdriver and Corkscrew

I don't understand why so few Victorinox SAK's have both. (only the Champs?) I understand that both takes a bit more space than most other tools, but so what? Pliers take up quite a bit of space, yet some SAK's have both pliers and a PH screwdriver.
 
The Explorer has both. Other than the Champs, only the discontinued Scientist and Yeoman are/were the only others that I know of.

Ah, the Scientist. That was an excellent pattern. I miss not being able to buy another, or several for gifts.
 
Check out Target. Saw a Spartan Lite that had the ph screwdriver and the corkscrew with the tiny eyeglass screwdriver inside. Also has a pretty decent led lite attached to it. Think its about 28 dollars.
 
I read somewhere that it IS a European and American difference between the preference of corkscrew and Phillips screwdriver. Can anyone explain?
 
Maybe the Europeans drink more wine?
Personally I'll take the corkscrew over the phillips. The tip of the can opener also works passably well on phillips. ;) I like having the mini screwdriver too.

Hey!!! The Spartan Litle does have a phillips! I would imagine the other models with the same light also have the philips to match.

I'm pretty sure all the full size "lite" models have a phillips opposite the light.I've found the phillips on the back replacing the corkscrew awkward to use and the t-handle design gives you too much leverage for the size of the pin,I twisted the one off my old tinker twice then replaced it with a corkscrew.

any lite model have a philips but the Cybertool lite, which has a magnifying glass instead of it.

anyway, all Cybertools have different size of PH screwdriver bits, and some torx ones, a flat one and a hex one.

cybertool is the must if you want screwdrivers
