A friend ( he's not a member of any knife forum I know of, but a good friend of Ron halfstop) I met at GEC a few years ago purchased a Lick Creek #14 from me this year and his knife traveled around PA and NJ for 3 weeks before he received it. He finally called, and because he doesn't use PayPal , he didn't have tracking. I had assumed he had received the knife, but I had the tracking from the mailing invoice, so we researched it.He finally received the knife, 3 weeks from the time it was mailed ,thankfully.

In our conversations we talked about the GEC whaler that was the Rendezvous knife this year. The #46 whaler is the only one of the Rendezvous knives I have kept, but I didn't get to go to the GEC Rendezvous this year and couldn't get one. I tried to buy or trade for one ,but they were too hot of an item.

I couldn't believe this gentleman's generosity. A very special knife.

2018 Rendezvous knife 462218 Oily Heart Pine Wood Serial # 4 ( in kidding, he said it would have been #2 except Ron jumped in front of him :). #2 then became a little of a problem to Ron.;):D)

Thanks for sharing. It is nice to hear these stories of generosity in a time that we only here about all the things wrong in this world. It’s nice to see that we can all make a difference in someone’s day.
