Hey mike, you said there about 10 guys waiting, so does that mean that at some point some of these may be available to buy? Love your work but its near impossible to find in the used market. If some of these are available how would a guy go about picking one up?

Thanks,
Yes, I need to ship a few backorders and then I will begin posting available knives here.
I will also have them listed on my website by the end of the week.
Thanks again.

I'm itching to send funds ...been wanting one of these for a while.

Will be waiting Mike, glad your doing a run of these:thumbup:

Will you have some available at your store front?

Yes, just call me before you head out to make sure I am there.
I should have some ready by the end of this week
Thanks... 361 443 0161

These were the knives you had for sale on your site in December before the site changed. The knives were pictured, there was a buy option and the text said "Please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery." The price was $249.99 plus $14.34 (!) shipping for a total of $264.33 which was charged immediately to the card. Assuming the order was placed 12/31 and allowing for the New Year "up to" 2 weeks delivery should have had the knife here January 18th at the latest, which did not happen.

If you have read some of Mikes previous posts and watched some of his videos since then, you would have known that he had a few set backs causing a slight delay in shipment. Mike has responded to every message and answered every call about this knifes availability, well at least from me he has. Mike is working solo in his shop. Quality is worth the wait. How many other knifemakers on Mikes level could guarantee shipment of a full blown custom hand made knife? I know when I receive my Snody Titanium Elite Friction Folder, it is going to be the best that it can be and only touched by Mike himself. This is a Generation 4 knife with many improved changes. It will be well worth the wait.

Also, in your response to the Boss shipment from Snody that you responded too in another thread, Mike said and I quote "If anyone needs a refund or wants to talk to me please give me a call at 361 443 0161" Thread link: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1038422-Anyone-else-waiting

So if you are unhappy, give Mike a call.

He took the money immediately and did not deliver in the "up to two weeks" as stated when I ordered off the site. I don't think I should have to follow Snody that closely, just wanted the friction folder I paid for, and that he had on his site, hyped in an earlier video where all the parts seemed to be already cut, as they are in the video here. My previous response, and these are offered tentatively but I did so since apparently I am not the only one experiencing a delay. I haven't received my money back, he's had use of it for nearly 8 weeks and I have no product. That's not a long time for you, and maybe even not a lot of money, but it is for me. There's absolutely nothing personal since I don't know anybody involved and from here on, it is between Snody and myself and will certainly not go past this forum or posting.

I hear you and yes $250 is a lot for me as well. I guess since I have been in such frequent communication via phone, PM's and YouTube, I never gave it a second thought. To each his own I guess. I know Mike will make it right with you.

Its all good.

Do you want the knife or a refund.

I just to want you to be happy.

No hard feelings either way.

You are the client and my goal is to make you happy.

You spent alot of money and you have waited along time.

My videos are meant to provide insight into my shop operations.

You are absolutely correct that it is not your responsibility to monitor me.

I am overwhelmed with work and I fired all my shop help.

I am doing everything by myself, sole authorship.

The new price for the knife you paid $250.00 for is $399.00 and I have at least 100 people who have contacted me wanting to purchase at the new price.

The reason I am telling you this is to let you know that your happiness is my only concern. I am not concerned with selling these knives.

I apologize for the extended wait time, like you said this is just business, nothing personal.

Sometimes I become so immersed in my world that I forgot about the public perception.

In other words 8 weeks in my world of custom knives is really nothing. My backlog was over 7 years when I quit taking orders.

I have waited 8 weeks to get pivot pins from the knife supplier. I have waited 5 years for an Edmund Davidson knife.

I have to check myself and realize that everyone does not see things the same way.

I missed the deadline plain and simple and my perception a "long" wait is irrelevant..

The only thing that matters here is your perception.

These are Custom Knives built to order with a quoted 2 week turnaround..

You are now at 8 weeks and I am telling you I can ship this week.

I would love to get this knife in your hands but I will gladly refund your money if that is what you want.

I will ship your knife by the end of this week or I will give you a refund. Whatever you want.

I was processing about 100 orders per week when I fired my entire crew.

It took me a while to get behind and it takes a while to get caught up.

I only made about $18.00 profit of your purchase and its not worth $18.00 to me for you to be upset.

Hell, I would give a complete stranger $18.00.

I am glad you posted in the forum.

In the coming days we are going to breath new life into this place with a focus on providing our clients with superior service.

Thanks again for posting..

Respect

^^^ And this is one of many reasons Mike is so great. I only have one Snody knife(so far), but in my purchase from him, his customer service was second to none.

Thanks for the update Mike. Those are the most beautiful knives I have ever seen. Iam going to be afraid to cut anything with it. Lol

Awesome looking friction folders. I wish I had the cash to spend on this, hopefully I will one day own one of your friction folders

Very cool. Nice to see a maker backing up his work. Not too familiar with Snodyworld seen your knives on here from time to time in BF just curious as to why you fired your whole crew???? Now that I read this thread I kinda want to know the story ;)

Thanks for visiting the forum.

I fired my apprentice for eating breakfast in front of me and not buying me anything.
He would come in, sit down at my table (on the clock) and eat breakfast burritos without bringing me one.

He did not eat fast, he would lay out a whole spread and spend 15 to 20 minutes eating in front of me.

Where I come from you either eat before work or you take food to the boss.

If you want to eat in front of the boss on the clock the buy the boss a breakfast taco.
I warned him about and I guess he did not believe me..
