I am not sure how many of us that hang out in traditional folders and fixed blades get to other parts of BF. This link is from a thread in Manufactures/Camillus. The link has some really neat historical pictures and information. I like the picture of the swawback jack in the 1975 catalog made by Platts.

Hope you enjoy as much as I did.

That's a wonderful Sheepfoot blade on the swayback! Nice find Ken!!
Will we see one come from your bench??

Ken,
Great link

Im 76, I had a set of 8 Western sheath knives, that I got for very cheap.
But they were stolen from my NYC walkup apartment....

thanks,

Neeman

Thanks, Ken, for digging that link up and sharing it here. I love KNIFESTALGIA!

Did you guys notice the truckload of cowhide next to the woman in the sheathmaking area?:eek: 1975 catalog.

Do you make fixed blade knives Ken?
You should try doing a Black Beauty type knife ;)

Trent,

The last fixed blade knife was better than two years ago. I am having just too much fun making slips!

:D

How is it the world will tell you with laser, cnc, and water that we live in a better
world? Is it just that the employees don't care- or worse yet the end user?
Ken.
