Thanks Uncle Bill, I just got my Khukuri. Not a problem to fix, probably would have fiddled with it anyway. A few questions tho...
Could you explain whats what and whats it for? and, This thing is dang tight in the sheath, I don't see how you would get it out if you had it strapped to your saddle

Is it supposed to be so tight? I think I may have to get a sheath with a tie down on the tip.

when I got this at work, my employees asked what I was going to cut with THAT THING. I told them to get back to work

D, if you spray some WD-40 on the sheath and get the wood soaked I think the problem may be solved. If the sheath stays too tight for comfort, soak it in water for 30 minutes, pound a wedge into the opening to stretch it open and then let it dry.
