I have just been informed that Bailey Bradshaw's father died suddenly this morning of a heart attack.

Bailey is a fifth generation Texan. His father was a third generation "Farrier" (a horse shoer) and a blacksmith.
Bailey learned to forge horseshoes at an early age as he started to turn horseshoes for his father when he was 11 years old.

The Bradshaw's need your support and prayers these days. Bailey's wife, Courtenay, is still recovering from a riding accident and a broken pelvis.

Bailey has been filling in on all fronts taking care of her, the four children and the five horses. In addition, trying to satisfy his customers.

These are wonderful people- I am sure they would like to hear from their many friends in the knife world to help them get through all this.

Thanks, Neil. Very sad news indeed—for anyone to lose their father. :( My thoughts go out to him and his family.

Bailey is 'family' to all of us here. His loss is ours, to a small extent. Thanks for that address. Warm thoughts are good, and a card says it even better.

I talked to Bailey yesterday in length about the rough year he has had.
Now losing his father.
He and his will be in my thoughts.

Thanks everyone for your support.

Dad was a truely unique man. He was the very best at what he did, and was regarded as THE authority on show horse shoeing. He worked the US Nationals for Arabians several times, literaly made National champions out of average horses and passed on the trade to many who are now in turn on top of their field. He taught me to forge, among the inumerable other things a father teaches his son. So he gave me a profession as well.

Dad never slowed down. He would be 66 on the 28th of this month, and was still working daily. He did so because he LOVED to travel and be on the road. If any of you knew him you know he did what he wanted, when he wanted to do it.

I have a great deal of peace with his passing, as the way he went, the timing and where he was fit him idealy. He was still able to work, was with friends and didn't suffer a debilitating disease. All things he had mentioned he wanted.

If your Father is still around, call him right now and tell him you love him. If you can, spend tomorrow with him as well. :)

I am sad to hear of your loss. My condolences to you and your family.

Bailey, I am very sorry for your loss. He sounds like a wonderful man, and I'm glad you at peace with his passing. Of course it's never easy to lose someone you love, but it helps when you know you'll be together again some day.

I am so very sorry to hear this Bailey - my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I do hope Courtenay's recovery progresses well. Take care of each other.

Heartfelt sympathies to You and your family Bailey..you honor your father everyday with your incredible gifts and as man ,husband and father.
Peace

Bailey, I'm not ashamed to admit that I've got tears in my eyes as I type this. I'm so very sorry for your loss. I'm also amazed at how you're taking this, but I agree with your logic as to how he went. My Dad is a lot older(74), and it's breaking my heart to see him slowly fall apart like he is. You know my number. Call me anytime, if you need to talk to a buddy.

Bailey, my sincere condolences on the loss of your father. It sounds though we lost a truely great man. He will be in my prayers tonight.

Thanks again,

Dad lived a rambuncious life, but knew and believed in Christ. I am a Christian, and it was a concern for me to know where my father stood. I was able to receive confirmation from him about his faith, and it has been a tremendous comfort.( I was brought up by my great Aunt and Uncle, as my mother passed away when I was very young. Dad's business kept him away too much to care for us by himself.) Many of you mentioned my father, me and my family will be in your prayers. PLEASE pray for your loved ones as well. I don't want to offend anyone, but as a Christian it is important to know my family is safe and secure with salvation awaiting. If there is one of your family who you are unsure about, don't wait. Once a moment like this comes, there won't be any way to regain that peace that comes with knowing.

Glad to be a part of THIS family, and I appreciate all of you.
