This is one I've had out in the shop waiting for me to finish it up. Pretty simple knife with nothing very time consumming on it. 7 1/4" 1084 blade, 1018 fittings, and a kingwood handle. Its just a good solid using knife.

Very clean looking lines on that knife.

What thickness is the blade at 1/4" distance from the cutting edge?

Good looking website you have Mr. Richard

Simple maybe, nicely done, no doubt. That's a really nice knife there. Great overall shape to it. I really like it, the whole thing.

I agree with all J. says (dittos). The handle shape and wood tone really set it off.

Hey Pentlatch, its looks to be about 3/32nds. Its fairly hefty blade but its got a full distal taper forged into it....

Uh Raymond, IMHO your forgot a comma in there: "Pretty, simple knife ..." ;) That one's a beauty! Besides the wood choice and handle shape setting off the blade, I really like the subtle groove in the guard and buttcap that serves to frame the wood nicely.

Thanks you guys! I really like simple. I know more people seem more interested in something if it has alot going on but I feel it really takes alot away for a well thought out knife. Line and flow are my two main concerns with the look. Got a really really simple one in the works now but got a bunch of trees to trim before I can finish it..

I was looking at your stuff, and others, while planning my first knife and recall being struck by your "simple" (as you put it) style.
I put together a fairly "simple" knife and although it doesn't quite have the "polish" that someone like yourself might give it, I love the simplicty factor...Love your stuff Ray!:)

Very well done Ray. In my eye, simplicity is elegance. Nothing to detract from the design, styling, and craftmanship of the maker.

Simplicity is the natural result of profound thought.

I like this kind of camping knife.
