Hey fellow rat packers, i havent had a new thread in here for awhile but i couldnt help but add this... so my dad has always been there for me in his own special way. hes tough on me but, hes taught me alot in my years on this earth. He and i have always had a strong bond but we have our big differences, but in the end we always love each other. Well this year ive been saving up money and finally got him a gift that he deserves. So i got a deal i couldnt pass up on a weatherby mark v ultralight. It also has a leupold vx3 2-8, and of course a new hard case. So not sure if you noticed by now, but theres also a new esee 3 in that hard case... I figured since im geting my dad such a nice new rifle he should have a nice new knife.
While out west hunting with my dad this year i let him use my rc3 and he loved it. after all why wouldnt he, the rc3 is the best knife from esee, short of the rc6. so after seeing him use the knife so well I knew i had to get him one.
Not that long ago i had jforbush on the froums here coat a knife for me. it came out very cool and we immediately started brain storming on the next project. I decided to order up a new rc3 from jforbusha and just have it coated a new color. but after we talked we decided to go a step further and add "to my father" and "thank you for everything" to the blade. The saying might be simple, but i think it says everything. jeff had the idea to add some shadowing and pick the font. after seeing the first pics i had the idea to get rid of the green liners and jeff made an awesome set of light grey liners that go with the project perfectly! then jeff came up with the idea to texture the handle and it looks and feels amazing... well here ill let the pics speak for them selfs. and if you need any thing coated you should totally get a hold of jeff he does top notch work. www.4bushweaponsrefinishingsystems.com
Well since i was in the giving mood i also decided to surprise one of my best buddies with a rc3 of his very own. hes been wanting one for a few months now and i keep talking him out of it. not because they arrant awesome, but because i wanted to get it for him. Its nothing special just a tan rc3 with all the bells and whistles. but it will be special to him because he loves esee knives almost as much as i do.
As one final note: i know the knives are esee-3's now, not rc3... honestly i was to lazy to want to go back and correct them all after just typing this up. any way hope you all enjoy the pics. any questions or comments are appreciated.
