Just got a Centofante 3 and it is stiff. I mean VERY stiff. I know lock-back don't pop open like an assisted knife, but this one is STIFF!! Any suggestions as to how or what to do? Or do I just play with it and gradually and hopefully, it will loosen up.

I would try some mineral oil around the blade pivot and work it in some, that's what I do to mine. My Cento 4 was a little tight at first, I think it might have to do with the thin blade profile of these knives.

It will probably loosen up a bit with time as well, hope this helps some:)

Put a couple of drops of Militec on the pivot. Will do a bit a working in and see if that helps. Otherwise, a beautiful knife. And sharp as a razor.

As for all my Spyderco knives, I fell the break in vary from a couple of weeks (Military) to over six month (FRN). But that is my opinion...

I've found that the stiffness varies depending on which Spydie. For instance, my Delica 3 was a bit on the stiff side, but it did loosen up. Both my Caly 3's were very smooth. My Dragonfly was actually stiffer than my D3 but it did loosen up over time.
