Well, My NMFBM arrived today from the latest Ganzaa, and I finally feel like a Hog. She's .280 thick in front of the hand shaped tan scales, and has more dimples than Rosie O'Donnell's rear end. I haven't seen any other coated blades with this appearance, looks sort of like my CG SARSquatch, but with the coating. Looks kinda cool! Here's a few crappy pics since it's too dark to go outside.

ooooooooohhhhh! I like that! The green coating is very cool. Nice score!!

It's certainly different from the green I'm used to seeing. It's a very slick finish, looks like it will hold up well.

That's the Moss coating that appeared (along with Bama Clay [which is the same sort of thing with a red base] and Acrtic White) at the last Knob Creek show (Fall 2008 -- the weekend began on Friday 10/10/08). Moss and Bama Clay coatings were both quite popular.

Good to know! I figured it must be a Knob Creek leftover, I've seen the Bama clay, but I haven't seen any pictures of the Moss coating before. Thanks!

I think those dimples are in the coating and not the steel.

But I could be wrong, that has happened to me once before!!

Either way she's a sweet lookin blade, congrats and thanks for the pics.

That would make sense if it was the coating that was dimpled like that- It would have taken some pretty deep infi dimples to still come through like that!

Thanks all- It's a handful for sure. What thickness were most of them? I though I remembered somewhere around .250 with the LE's being thicker in some cases? I was surprised at the .280 thickness on this one.

dobywon is correct. The dimples come from the multi-layered coating. Both the 'Bama Clay and Moss have the O'Donnell dimple complexion. And jnphares named the debut date.

I really liked the look and feel of the Moss and was sorely tempted on a couple of blades but ended up getting something in the Arctic White instead. Maybe I'll post a pic of it w/ my new G30SF, which I'm picking up tomorrow.

I got my NMFBM from the recent Ganza yesterday and was curious about the width also.Mike Fitz said his moss blade was .280. I have handled one with sage coating and the moss one feels thicker to me aswell . Unfortunately I can't do a side by side comparison at this time. Can someone post the width of the first batch of NMFBM's?

Thanks,

Che

So is that a special coating not available on the website? I really like the looks of that!
