I have many Veterans to call today and thank. Some hear my voice others see the flowers. Thank you, for your sacrifices made for the cause of freedom. Mike, Putnam, Dave, Old Hunter, Ohen, Doc, Tom Smith, ect. DM

Thinking about all the great people I had the privilege to serve with.

Have a wonderful day fellow Veterans!

Thank you, Veterans.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Thank you All,

Thank you for your service, past, present, and future. Thank you for my freedom and peace of mind. Thank you and your families for your sacrifice.

"Happy Veterans day"

Happy Veterans Day and my sincerest thank you to those whom have served both past and present. Below are items from my Father's and Grandfather's service (the knives of course are from the present).
My Father was an Infantryman with the 1st Cavalry Division in Vietnam 1968-1970

I am flying my flag today, and wear a flag pin every Sunday. I grew up in the Air Force, my father was chief master in charge of maintenance for a unit that spanned C-119s, C-124s and F-105 Thunderchiefs. This was back in the 'good ole days' for me. As a ten year old my mother made me a set of green fatigues. And put some a old patch of my fathers on it. I would sometimes go with him and wear my uniform and the guys called me 'little sarge'. Usually only on weekends but I could take my BB gun and shoot pigeons out of the hangar. Rode in a fire wagon a time or two and at a small base rode down the runway a time or two doing engine tests. All of which would now end a career. Some other kids would sometimes come out and we would walk around in awe of the, to us, big planes. When we moved to a bigger base I would catfish out of the small base lake and later would hang out at the gun club being instructed by older shooters in trap and skeet shooting. One dollar a round and three dollars for a box of shells. I would work all week at odd jobs to get enough to shoot twice. I drifted away in college, had a high draft number and found all the danger I cared to experience fighting forest fires for Uncle Sam. A tip of my cap to all veterans still around and a prayer for those that lost their lives in defending mine. 300Bucks

Thank you gents, some good stories. I also want to thank the wives of our Veterans, -- because she did not always get back the same man that left. But she stuck with him. DM

My Dad, uncle Fuzz, father in law all served in WW2 and Korea. MY brother Dave and nephew Loyd both served on USN subs and my sister Karen was in the first group of sea going women sailors. My wife KathyJo enlisted in the Navy and received a honorable discharge.
