Thank you to all the Veterans, who are currently, or have served our country. I know there are at least several who hang out here.

You're welcome, John.

I do believe veterans are treated better now as a whole, certainly better than in the past. (other than that whole VA thing) It's nice to see them getting the help and recognition they deserve.

I just wanted to stop by and Thank our Veterans for their service. We are all in your debt, to a value most of us cannot comprehend.

Thank You.

yesterday was a good day - spent it with a buddy of mine who retired from the USAF in 92.
Stopped for lunch at Granite City and and was asked "are you a veteran?, if yes - here's our free lunch menu today"
said yes, but I don't have any proof with me, so I'll just pay for it - and she gave me the discount anyway!

I always buy a beer at the restaurant I go to and ask them to just leave it on the bar for those that aren't with us anymore.

I was talking with some of my friends I served with. They are all on facebook and I'm not. It seems in the last 3 months 6 soldiers I served with have taken their lives. Another one passed from Cancer. One is addicted to heroin and is basically just waiting to die. Several have went crazy and are just walking zombies. This is just from my company. It is very very sad that this is how it's ending up. more are dying than are making it. RIP brothers!

Hopefully we can figure out a way to get a handle on this epidemic. I read the latest report release and it was somethimg like 18-20 veterans are killing themselves daily. Sorry to be a downer just wanted to let folks know about this issue. If you have friends or family that served talk to them and make sure everything is ok. It may look like it on the outside but they could be battling on the inside.
