Picked up another surface grinder and need a VFD. I’ve been buying Kbac’s, but everyone is out of them since January, 24-d. Could anybody recommend one they’re using? It’s a 1hp motor, 220 in, 220 out. Thanks, Mike

Thanks, I definitely considered that, but it would be most inconvenient with my set up location wise.

Get a cheap chinese one that you can remove the remote panel from the VFD itself and attach the remote panel via cords to the VFD unit, then mount the VFD in an enclosed box or away from the dust/grit. I am running one with 12' of extension cable and the VFD is outside of my plastic enclosed grinding area.

Invertek are really good quality. IP66. I have two and they work great.

Why was the link to the Invertek site removed? It's not a "member-site", like the Mod wrote above.

My favourite VFD is the Teco FM50, but I don't think they're made any more and you can't get spare parts.
The most popular VFD here in Australia would have to be the Teco E510. It has good controls but I'd prefer a switch for forward and reverse rather than a push button to toggle between settings.
