Which one is better? for edge holding, wear resistance, toughness etc, in a utility folder??

My experience is limited, beause it bases on two knives a Fallkniven S1 (about 59 HRC) and a new Kershaw Storm (also about 59 HRC) but I think it goes like this:

Edge holding - Depends on what you cut.
Wear resistance - VG10
Toughness - 13C26
Stain resistance - VG10 I think, but the Storm is bead blasted.
Ease of sharpening - 13C26

The difference isn't too big, both steels are excellent.

 I'm with you 100% on this call.

I have a Kershaw mini-cyclone 13C26 and a Spydie D4 VG-10.
I can get both really wicked sharp. Easier to get these
knives scary sharp then my 154CM, D2, 440C, etc.

I've run a lot of tests on the VG-10 and it holds up really well
as far as edge retention goes. I've also battoned with it and it
seems tough enough for that.

So far the 13C26 has held up really, really well. I haven't
run any comparisons but from my own experience I would
say that it may be up there with the higher end steels as
far as edge retention is concerned. Definitely better then
my 440A Leek.

Maybe I'll run a test of the mini-cyclone v. the delica when
I get some spare time.
