I know this would be more of a Spyderco forum thread, but I figured General would be better to get more info on the steels themselves. I recently bought a Delica 4, and love the VG-10 steel, but I also want to buy myself a UK Penknife, which comes in Gin-1 or BD1. How do those two compare to VG-10? I know VG-10 is better (obviously), all I am mainly looking for is the comparison on the attainable sharpness, and edge retention.
Just figured I would also note that I can get the UKPK for $30, and I am very likely going to get it because I want a modern slip-joint.
