VG10 + stainless handle Delica/Endura - when?

I thought I heard/read that the stainless models would have VG10 eventually, but I forget who said so and if it was here or somewhere else (no, searching the spyderco forum for VG10 or stainless did not help much :) ). Is this true, and is there an ETA?
 
I have heard the same (Sal confirmed it in a post) and am also wondering when. A SE Endura with VG-10 in a SS handle will be mine as soon as it is available. :D

I wont buy an Endura until the VG10 and stainless steel combination is available.
 
Why do you guys like slippery stainless steel handles?

Not a smartass question. Really like to know.

No I don't like slick handles, but mine won't be slippery once I'm finished with it. Not sure yet exactly what I'll do but it will be a fun customization project.

1. They look cool. :) In part because they aren't black, plus the look of an all-metal knife.
2. FRN would be my preference but, as discussed previously, those models are not built as finely tuned as the stainless models. :(
3. I like the handle shape of the old Delica better, and the stainless models still have this shape.
4. The handle shape is actually good enough that grip is not too much of a problem, even though I would rather have the FRN model for heavy or even medium work. It's fine for your "fancy" knife, while your "hefty" knife rides in another pocket.
 
If the ergonomics are good enough a stainless handle isn't slippery. I EDCd my Police for nearly 12 years and never lost my grip.
 
I am very anxious about the SS VG-10 Endura. I'm also curious when this model will be released (hopefully soon). I wish there were some pictures of the proto-type floating around because I heard that it might have a few other changes than just the blade steel. I'll probably buy at least two, one in PE and one in SE. :D
 
The new "Endura 4" model is scheduled for early '06. The SS version will have the refined pattern, new 4 way clip and VG-10 steel.

Still not ready to say much more. Many new refinements. New tooling for every part.
