VHS to DVD in Ford Expedition??

I am looking at a 2002 Ford Expedition. It has a VHS VCR unit in the center console and a pull down monitor on the roof. Do any of you know if there be an easy swap for the VCR to convert it to DVD using the same monitor? Would the VCR in the console have a simple hot and ground wire and a audio and video out plug? Thanks for your help.

yes it should work just the same as a vcr in your house, just smaller. Make sure and disconnect your battery when you change it. Good luck
