Hi everybody,

I came across a Vic Classic today at my local 2nd hand goods shop. This one's a bit different though. No keyring, tweezers or toothpick but with the regular red cellidor scales and silver shield etching.

As far as I could tell it's an original as the etch on the pen blade has:

VICTORINOX
SWITZERLAND
STAINLESS
ROSTFREI

and the blades had the characteristic 'snap' that all of my other Vics have when closing. Anybody know what model this is? I checked the SAKWiki but couldn't find it.

I thought it was a Bijou too at first until I realized that the Bijou still had the toothpick/tweezers.

Very interesting. Rare for sure I'd think. I wonder if maybe there were some Bijous done for a specific market? I'm thinking it might be an advertising sample. I'm guessing that there would have been all sorts of variations done for advertisers, probably to be printed as needed. Its just a guess, but either way, makes you wonder what else is out there.

I looked through my bag of Vics and saw these three folders. None of these had a keyring, tweezers and toothpick.
The two larger ones are Victorinox; the smaller is a Wenger Delemont. I haven't looked up model numbers.
I bought a "collection" and gave forty-some to front-line AirBorne troops in Afghanistan.
