Vic Classic %

In truth, about 98%. I rarely carry one, though. Usually it's my 84mm Spartan that gets the call.

And when really small carry is called for, I generally will reach for my Leatherman Micra these days over my old Classic.

Probebly 85%. The Classic will handle most cutting chores but, on thick rope I need something bigger.

I'd also say 98%. I've gone for months carrying only a Classic or an Esquire.

I guess around 80 or 90%. Only it's not a Classic but a Signature (includes a pen that comes in handy quite often) that I carry in addition to my Spartan.

Probably over 98% for CUTTING. Much as I love the classic, I carry a SOG cross grip (similar to LM micra) on my keychain. You would be surprised how often the tiny pliers and screwdriver are used. Definitely reccommended if you don't mind a little extra bulk and weight. However, the blade steel is nowhere near as good as the Victorinox.

I think most, about 90% or so. I carry a combo of the classic on a quick detach hook on my keyring and a soldier in a nylon belt pouch with a small AAA Dorcey LED light. The truth is the soldier gets used more for the screwdrivers and bottle opener on it than the blades. Over the last couple of years I've been using the little classic for more and more cutting. It does just fine as an edc pen knife.

A Classic could handle 90% of my pocketknife cutting, but only gets used 5% of the time.

As often or more I need other tools that the Classic does not provide or those it has are not up to the job. In use, almost always a larger SAK is more efficient and comfortable. I carry a Classic, mainly as a fob attached to a micro flashlight (or vice versa). It came bundled with something else I was interested in. Sometimes it's handy, but mostly I reach for the full size SAK or multitool. For 13 years I have carried a Swisschamp or Leatherman Super Tool every day, formal or casual, rain or shine, work or leisure. No big deal, totally second nature.
