While out and about in Bangkok, I spotted this little beauty going very cheap. Quite difficult to find by all accounts so I thought it would make a good addition to my growing collection of SAK's.

Overall, it seems a decent knife. The only niggles I have are; slight blade play, slightly serrated blade at the blade fore-egde, a bit tricky to open and close right-handed. Otherwise, a very good find.

Apparently they were made for the German army or somthing ??

Anybody else got one and care to comment ??

I have one and love it. The thing I like most is that the main blade is serrated in front where is most useful. Mine has the same problems as yours but a little blade play isn't going to hurt me and it locks up very well.

It is great for slicing cold cuts or in restaurant that has dull steak knives. Have a lot of fun with yours.

I took my one hand opening linerlock SAK to Afghanistan last year while training the 101st Airborne Division. After cutting some WD-1 commo wire the serrated portion was in bad shape so I just sharpened it off with my DMT dual diamond hone. I prefer a non-serrated edge anyway. If a one-handed opening option is not critical to you get the standard version of the Rucksack. Looks exactly the same except you have a nail nick instead of the opening hole, but the blade locks up much tighter. It also has a linner lock on the blade and the screwdriver. I have never had a SAK blade close on me but the screw driver blade has done so many times.

I'm carrying the OH Trailmaster more and more, in lieu of my Wave. I'm still not completely comfortable with it in my left pocket, just not used to it yet. Mine too has that slight blade play ya'll have noted. The BO/screwdriver locks up tight though. I thought I got a helluva deal at $18, and then saw them at SMKW for $15! Guess what the boy's are getting for their B'days? Trade the BO/screwdriver for a file/screwdriver and it becomes my end all multiknife.
