im a tinker man, have carried one every day since my bar mitzvah, recently i began to wish that it had a pair of scissors on it, i never really use the small blade or the bottle opener/ screwdriver, anyone know it there is anyone who can replace them with a pair of scissors? also, im not a big fan of the red scales that the tinker usually comes with, does anyone do mod scales?
ive already been over to SOSAK and i just need some extra assistance

Cheers!

There are several modders over on SOSAK , are you talking about a standard , or the older 84mm tinker . The 84 mm scissors are now quite rare . Rotokid at SOSAK on line sells ruffed out scales in various woods , colored G10 and CF . What you are describing isn't a huge deal , several guys at SOSAK ( Knifeforums ) and SOSAK on line could do it for you .

Several guys, including me, could do the mod you describe. But (and that's a big word), you would probably be better served by just buying a Vic Compact, which has 1 knife blade, scissors, and a combo tool, or a Super Tinker, which adds the scissors to what you already have. Or, do what most of us do...buy both. Or get a Classic for the scissors, and carry it in your other pocket. Or, buy all three...;)

Id say.
Bye a classic for the scissors. Dont bye anything else. Its unusual to stay with the knife you have among people here. But if you are pleced with it, why bye a new one.

Or

Bye a compakt and make it new scales your self. Pop of the red scales and use them as modell for the new ones. Not muck equipment needed.
