I was at Target, and as I often do, I decided to see if any of the SAKs scanned at prices lower than the price on the tag. Today I found a Victorinox Soldier, alox handles that scanned at $13.77. Original price on the tag on the hook was $19.99. I didn't scan any of the others today, but I suppose it's possible some of the others are also at unadvertised sale prices. Just figured I'd pass that along.

If you look at the orange sticker, it will have a small # on it. Thats the % off. If you can, wait until the sale price ends in a 4. That will be the lowest price they'll sell the knife for. Just a little insider info. :)

Yep, you can get great deals at Target and wally-world on Saks and often Leathermans.
The only issue that I have is that you need to research first. I bought what I thought was a SAK Minichamp, but was in fact, and older model without the caplifter and phillips implement. As it turns out the new minichamp I saw online was really a minichamp II, but is referred to by many stores as just minichamp.
And of course the small phillips/caplifter was the main thing I wanted it for... and I already took it out of the blister card before I noticed :grumpy:

I just bought 8 Sebertool M2's at Wally world for $3.75 each. They make good stocking stuffers at Christmas. They frequently have closeout deals there.

The Walmarts in my area are having a clearance on quite a few knives right now. If you want one of the Buck Alphas with the rubber handles they seem to be clearing them all out.

The Target in Florence, AL has the Alox Soldier & Super Tinker w/ sheath on a "temporary price cut". Picked up an Alox Soldier while I was there. There was a couple left calling my name, but I resisted the urge. I really like the Alox Soldier so far, I have been meaning to pick one up for a while. It was hard to resist the price.

Thank you guys so much! :D

I was really having trouble finding the Soldier in my area, after having checked Kmart, WalMart, an Army Navy store, Sears, and a flea market, LOL! I went to Target yesterday and picked the Soldier up!

It is great to have one of my old EDC's back again! :) Now I will have to rotate between my Soldier and Camper.

Moondrop,

Thanks for the tidbit of information. Went by my local Target yesterday. There was one lone Soldier and one empty blister pack ( guess someone got a real discount) on the rack. Took it to the scan machine and lo and behold.......$13.77. It came home with me. Now I have a 97 and an 02, one for me and one for my 12 year old son.

Thanks,

Target has scattered around their stores scanning units for customers to check prices, they are located under a big UPC symbol sign, and by the phones customers use to call for help.
