Hi,
I got one as a gift a little better than a year ago now. I too will warn you about only buying from reputable dealers. Many of the fakes seem to originate from Hong Kong.
I actually took mine and tested it on a junker. Without going into a total in-depth review, there are somethings I like about the tools and somethings I don't.
I did have Victorinox replace my first one because of about a 1/32" of vertical play on the knife blade. The liner lock never touched it. It simply went all the way over. The second one is made exactly the same way. So I think this must be done on purpose to make manufacture faster and easier since no hand fitting of the liner lock is needed.
To me, it would be a silly tool to carry on my turnout gear. At a real accident scene I have far bigger and better tools to use. It does ride in my personal jumpbag. But there are very few scenarios that I can envision actually needing or using it.
