Civilian version of military issue. Coming from Canada. I'm excited, but I'm gonna be selfish. Can I see yours...please?:D

I'll post mine in action when it gets here.

Congratulations on one of the best "survival" knives ever made! Excellent (and nostalgic) choose! The Safari Trooper was my very first SAK and a long-time carry.

Yeah Can't wait. I've passed them up at gun shows in the past because the were outrageously priced.

Nobody wants to share their GAKS?

Great choice  Safari Trooper is one of the best Victorinox knife in my opinion. It's a shame they discontinued 108mm models.

I have been trying to decide between the Trooper and the Safari Hunter, both similar priced. Just wonder if the back spring is as strong as the Alox?

The Safari Trooper is one of the most useful patterns out there......... packs a ton of utility into a very pocket-friendly package.

The additional texturing on nylon is an added bonus :)

I like that the saw on the Trooper is twice as thick as that of the Farmer (and other current models.) I once bent a saw on a Farmer. It was my fault, but things happen when you're cold or stressed.

Not only the best SAK saw, the Safari also has a longer awl and a longer corkscrew - and a hole that goes THROUGH the knife, not some dinky ring.

Big coincidence, I just got one today. Funny.
I have to agree the saw seems very robust and at the same time the knife is fairly compact.
Best Regards

Very cool knives. Don't see them in my area as we don't have any dedicated knife shops. I would really like to out hands on one and check them out.
