Hey. Many of you are probably familiar with the corkscrew mini screwdriver accessory offered by victorinox...

Obviously it resides inside the corkscrew (on such models that have it) and gives you an additional handy little driver for eyeglass repairs and whatnot. Since this is such a good idea I am wondering if victorinox (or another after market company) has devised any other corkscrew attachments for the Vic SAK's?? I can think of several good ideas already...

as far as i know, the mini glasses scredriver is the only optional device that could ride on the corkscrew...

yup, it would be a GREAT idea to have other options for the corkscrew... good thinking shaw!

Underneath the corkscrew when you lift it up there is a hole between the scales & liner where a stainless steel pin can go. On my Cybertool the pin is standard, but on my Ranger and Explorer there is no pin, but the hole is still there - I'm going to get some Victorinox stainless steel pins and add them to my Ranger & Explorer, I think those pins are useful tools.
As far as within the coils of the corkscrew itself - I have never heard of anything available apart from the Victorinox eyeglasses screwdriver (which I will also add to my Ranger & Explorer).

Thanks guys for your thoughts. Yes I notice that little pin hole on my huntsman. Maybe I'll get one too.

I was thinking they could offer a small corkscrew pen, or maybe make it reversible with a small phillips on the opposite side, lots of possibilities. Oh well. There didn't seem to be anything else but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything ;)

I don't use an official Victorinox straight pin. One of those pins that sometimes come in new shirts works just fine.

That's what I was going to do, but I've ordered a kit with eyeglasses screwdrivers, SS pins, tweezers, scissor springs and one or 2 other bits - I'll use those to add eyeglasses screwdrivers & stainless steel pins to a couple of SAKs and the rest will be spares for anything that gets broken or lost.
