Do the current Victorinox Evolution models, particularly the S101, have characteristics closer to the rest of the Victorinox line or do they still resemble the old Wengers in design, fit and finish? Thank you!
From what I've read/seen, they are mostly Wenger except for the can opener (Vic design), scale design (no recessed style Wenger scales).
My understanding is the awl and tooth pick\ tweesrs are also Vic tool now along with can opener and scale Chang.
Thanks folks. The only thing I'm not completely clear about, because of images I've seen, is the scales. Are they flat like all the other Vics or sculpted like the Evos were?
For the sake of investigation I purchased a knife. It has the late-Wenger sculpted scales and, except, maybe, for a fuller belly blade profile (and the lock), it is all Victorinox.
